Why do people say things they don’t really mean?
Take, for example, the word hate.
Such a strong word. So when people say things like:
“I hate that movie.”
“I hate her book.”
“I hate him.”
“I hate my mom.”
Okay, the last example is a little extreme. Still, I try to say what I mean and mean what I say. How else would I rather say it?
So this week I vow to do a better job at expressing my opinion in an honest way because frankly, no one can read my mind, but if someone could that would be horrible.
Mean what you say or don’t say it at all: my new mantra for this week.
