Why I Dislike Movies

Why do I dislike movies?

Because books are better.

What more do I need to say?

I will love you for the rest of my life if you purchase me a book.

On the other hand…if you make me watch a movie, especially a movie based on a book, I will want to indulge my violent tendencies by gouging your eyes out.

When that happens, you won’t be able to watch movies ever again.

You have yourself to blame.

  1. Not to mention, with a book you can mark your place and come back to it later if you don’t have time to finish it. With a movie, you can put it on pause, but if you turn your tv off you lose your place…

  2. Oh dear. So let me get this right… you love me forever because I gave you a book, but you will gouge my eyes out anyway, if I make you watch a movie based on a book. Mm. Let me think a minute… no I’m safe. My book hasn’t been made into a movie and I haven’t told you to watch one. But, better be on the safe side and not quote movies to you anymore either. 🙂

    1. You’re right. I will love you forever…unless you force me to watch a movie. No, I won’t gouge your eyes out. You are safe for the time being. Consider yourself lucky. 😉

If and when your book is turned into a movie, I will consider watching it on my own terms. Only because my love for you can extend certain boundaries. I have no problem with your quoting movies however. As long as you promise to warn me in advance.
