I know I’m late, but to be fair, I haven’t seen this book anywhere else until today.
Sorry the picture got cut off. I’m an aspiring writer, not a hopeful photographer.
I have plenty of reading and rereading to do. Yes I love this little guy and I haven’t even read the entire thing yet. But I can’t wait.
I’ve heard of Strunk and White’s The Elements of Style probably a hundred times, but I’m just now realizing that White is the same guy who wrote Stuart Little. My, but I’m slow!

Yeah so have I. That’s why I wanted to own a copy for the longest time. Oh haha. Multi-talented he is. 🙂

Yay for Elements of Style! One of my absolute favorites. First introduction was in a graduate course in which we had to read it. I’ve assigned it and used it for years. It never disappoints! And it’s beautifully written.

I’m happy to hear that. I started it and so far I’m loving it. Reading the book makes me feel like there’s so much I don’t know.

Oh I’m sure I’ll be in the same situation as you a few years from now. 🙂 You too. I hope you have a productive one.

This was a required textbook for a class when I was a freshman in college. I never opened it. It was a required textbook again when I was a junior, and I bought a second copy. I didn’t open it then, either. I now have two copies thrown in with dozens and dozens of other books from school, both in near-mint condition.
I should probably go open one.

Hahaha I find that ironic. I can’t believe you didn’t open the most wonderful textbook (it’s really more like a little book) for writers. Couldn’t you have used the copy you bought when you were a freshman instead of buying another one for your junior year? Or was it revised so you had to buy a new one?
I hope you do. The book is a lovely but tiny gem. 😉
