The Priority Problem

Is it bad that my priorities are out of whack?

For one, dancing and blogging are more important to me than school and homework.

I know. I know. I know.

I’ve had people tell me school should come first.

Blah, blah, blah.

But as much as I try to change my ways, I can’t help it.

I dance, check my email, and blog before I open my bag, take out my binders, and start doing whatever my teachers assigned.

This doesn’t mean I’m failing or not doing well. Actually it’s quite the opposite.

Maybe that’s why I refuse to re-evaluate my priorities.

  1. I don’t think it’s a bad thing. As long as you end up getting your school work done, that’s what matters. Plus, you’re doing other things that are important to you and you’re passionate about. You should have the opportunity to work on those two things whenever you can.

    1. Yeah, I get everything done and I generally do a good job. That’s my mentality too. I think striking the perfect balance is important. It isn’t easy to manage school with everything else, but I have gotten this far. I’m not ready to give up the things I love for school. 🙂

      1. I agree. School is obviously important, but if you know what you want to do with the rest of your life, then you need to pursue it as soon as possible.

  2. I feel the same way. Doing what I love is so much more important to me than doing what I’m supposed to do. It’s too bad life doesn’t work that way 😦 I could be totally professional at listening to music, writing, whatev ;P LOL

    1. I know exactly how you feel. Finding the perfect balance is hard but it can be done. I hope you’re able to do what you love and do what you have to or are supposed to do. True. Expert music listener, writer, etc. 😀
