Blogging Thing

I rarely check my stats nowadays. When I do, I glance over the page quickly.

There are many reasons for this.

But I want to hear from you: do you check your views and visitors on a regular basis? Why or why not?

  1. I used to check my stats at least once a day, but now, I only check when I think about it (which is still pretty often). I suppose I’m just curious to see who is reading what. Also, I kind of get a kick out seeing that something I wrote from my home in Louisiana is being read by people on the other side of the world. πŸ™‚

    1. Aha, yep. Bloggers are curious creatures. Fascinating, isn’t it? To know that you can reach people on the other side of the world without ever having to travel there? As if we need another reason to become a blogger. πŸ™‚

  2. I used to check it multiple times a day, but now l check it just once in a while. It’s nice to know who is visiting, but.l would rather see the comments. I think people who like and comment are the true followers, if you know what l mean.

  3. I check mine daily, though not as often as I did at the beginning. I get most excited when the little comment light goes on! And I love seeing the countries represented. When I’m writing more serious posts, I get engrossed in the writing process and almost (!) forget about checking stats. I’m also interested in seeing what gets me excited and what gets readers excited. Not always the same thing!
    Cheers!

    1. I know exactly what you mean. I’m always wondering who left a comment and I’m curious to know what people are saying. Mhm, blogging is wonderful because you can enjoy the process as much as the results. I can relate.

      All the best Elouise!
