I sometimes wish that books in a series were approximately the same length.
So the books would look about the same in terms of thickness.
Consistency makes me happy.
The above pleases me.
The below not so much.
I’m not that bothered by it. I just thought I’d make a blog post about my strange thoughts.
I’m the same way. Especially when I feel like there’s no way they need that much room to get through the second or third or whatever numbered book. If there aren’t enough cliffhangers at the end of the previous book, I look at the newer, longer one and sigh. Because I know it’ll have more in it that I want/expect, or it’ll be more filled with unneeded fluff.

Right? Sometimes books could be so much shorter if entire scenes or chapters were cut out. Series are a hit or miss for me.

I know I’d get blasted I said this to a lot of people, but I thought some of the Harry Potter books were far too long. (Yeep! Don’t kill me!)

I think many books are. I won’t. And I’ll stop anyone who wants to!

My OCD feels the same way. I totally agree.

Yeah I’m looking at my bookshelf right now, wishing all the books were the same height as well.

That’s annoying too!
I don’t have a preference between paperback and hardcover, but I need the series to be either all paperback or all hardcover.
