Tips on Overcoming Rejection

Because I’ve been rejected more times than I care to count.

Do something else. Distract yourself. Divert your attention. Dance like someone is watching.

Keep going. Even if that means you get rejected. Again. Every rejection is worth it if you get that acceptance in the end.

Work on a different project. A rejection doesn’t give you permission to throw in the towel. It isn’t the end of the world. Besides you’re capable of creating another story, publishing a different article, succeeding in other ways.

At some point, rejections became part of my regime, my routine. It’s so normal for me I barely bat my short eyelashes.

  1. Embrace it. Even if the rejection is an automated letter that everyone gets, you know for a fact that someone took the time to read your work. That’s better than nothing.
