I somehow survived my first year of university and will go into my second very soon.
But there are some things I wish I could’ve told the girl I was a year ago.
- You’re a human.
- Don’t expect perfection, just work on execution.
- You’re a human being.
- Don’t let your ego get bigger than your eye.
- You’re a flawed human being.
We’re all human and none of us are perfect. Especially when it comes to college, lol.

I wish you told me that earlier. 😛

When’s your first day of classes?
LikeLike
Haha.
September 12th.

Oh that’s not bad. That’s when I start back as well.

Mhm, I don’t want to go back.

Me either.

Can’t summer just last forever?
LikeLike
I wish it would. I’m not looking forward to getting back into a routine where my writing takes the backseat.
LikeLike
Same. I’m not ready to sacrifice my writing time for studying.

It’s so dumb. We know what we want to do in life, let us do it! Lol.
LikeLike
Yes, exactly! We deserve to do what we want to do.

I wasn’t able to get as much done as I wanted to this summer, too. I had to work the first five weeks because I have stupid bills, lol.
LikeLike
I worked as well. Too bad writing and blogging can’t cover all the bills.

That would be nice, wouldn’t it?
LikeLike
Yeah, hopefully one day it’ll happen.
LikeLike
It will. We just have to be patient.

Patience isn’t in my vocabulary.

I know what you mean, lol.

I hope the wait won’t be too long.

Agreed. But unfortunately things don’t happen overnight.
LikeLike
True. Good things take time.

And good things come to those who wait.
LikeLike
Yes, they do. Good things also come to those who work. 🙂

We’re both hard working. We have that going for us. 🙂

And we’ll continue to work hard.

Yes we will!

But we’ll also have fun.

Of course. 🙂

Does everyone get an ego in college?
LikeLike
Haha maybe it’s just me?

Well, maybe an ego is good. It shows that you’re confident in your grades, and that you worked hard for them. You probably deserved an ego last year!
LikeLike
Well, confidence is good. But I’ll make sure to keep my ego in check. No point in getting cocky.
LikeLike
True. When people develop an ego, they refuse to look at any other sides to specific problems or situations. For example, a person with lacking grades is stupid and doesn’t spend enough time studying.
LikeLike
Exactly. I don’t want that to happen to me. And I’ve never liked resting on my laurels.
LikeLike
Don’t think bad of me but I had to look up that idiom. I’m not to sure that it’s always due to basking in past memories that people become complacent with their grades.
LikeLike
I don’t. Mm I never want to be complacent. With anything. School. Work. Life. Nothing.
LikeLike
Although, I feel the same way. I feel like you should be complacent with things you can’t change or do anything about. It took me a long time to situate myself with that. For example, you can’t control other people no matter how much they let you down.
LikeLike
True. That’s a good point. I agree. It’s hard to do though. I’m still learning to accept what I can’t control.

I can’t believe you’ve already been at university a year. Best of luck to sophomore year!

I can’t either. Thanks! All the best to you. 🙂
