What I Would Tell My Freshman Self

I somehow survived my first year of university and will go into my second very soon.

But there are some things I wish I could’ve told the girl I was a year ago.

  1. You’re a human.
  2. Don’t expect perfection, just work on execution.
  3. You’re a human being.
  4. Don’t let your ego get bigger than your eye.
  5. You’re a flawed human being.

      1. I wasn’t able to get as much done as I wanted to this summer, too. I had to work the first five weeks because I have stupid bills, lol.

      1. Well, maybe an ego is good. It shows that you’re confident in your grades, and that you worked hard for them. You probably deserved an ego last year!

      2. True. When people develop an ego, they refuse to look at any other sides to specific problems or situations. For example, a person with lacking grades is stupid and doesn’t spend enough time studying.

      3. Don’t think bad of me but I had to look up that idiom. I’m not to sure that it’s always due to basking in past memories that people become complacent with their grades.

      4. Although, I feel the same way. I feel like you should be complacent with things you can’t change or do anything about. It took me a long time to situate myself with that. For example, you can’t control other people no matter how much they let you down.
