I bring a 1960’s percolator coffee pot (google it!) to class and brew coffee. As the smell rises throughout the room, I do my lecture on revising and include your step #9 telling the students to let the paper or story percolate in their subconscious for a while. They don’t forget that tip!

Great tips! I change the font and color once in a while. It kind of tricks your brain thinking you’re reading something else. It’s weird, lol.
