Personal Reflection

December Plans

After NaNoWriMo, I need a month long nap. But I can’t sleep for an entire month. And even if I could, I wouldn’t want to.

So I haven’t fully fleshed out my plans for December just yet.

I’m warning you in advance. This post is going to be as messy as my life is right now. I’m trying to figure things out.

I want to read more. Problem is I read my school books during my commute. Commuting is annoying and exhausting, but at least I get some reading done. For some reason, reading Robinson Crusoe at home is a lot harder than I thought it would be.

I want to continue writing every day. But what do I write about now? I’m taking a break from the characters I created during NaNo. I’ve been dabbling in poetry, and I’ve come to the conclusion that I suck.

I want to be a better blogger? What does that mean? I’ll let you know when I know.

  1. Young lady, you do not suck at poetry!!!! You are a gifted, thoughtful thinker and this translates over into your poetry. Please do not give it up, or you would deprive at least one (me!) follower of a delightful look into a younger, thinking, refreshing mind.

  2. Hmm. You might just need a break. Not later, but now. Which you say right up there at the top of this post! Life is short, and you are very earnest! A good thing, just so long as you don’t burn out or talk yourself out of being who you are. A writer–of many literary forms, including poetry. Kudos for taking time to think about all this. And for letting us know what’s going on! 🙂

      1. Rest! And stay out of the cold air that’s blowing in this weekend. Maybe go for a walk in my new down parka? Make a big pot of lentil soup. And last but not least–finish reading my latest Precious Ramotswe No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency novel. After I do some writing. No heavy-duty anything! 😴😊 Church on Sunday, too.
