Quick To Criticize | A Poem

How quick you are to criticize

When the ball isn’t in your court

With no medal around your neck

There’s a ring on his finger

And a ribbon on her chest

You see their smiles

But your reflection differs

Their laugh gets on your nerve

Your belly doesn’t stir

You sit and watch until the end

Only then do you get up

Yet tomorrow you return again

You still continue to look out

When you should be looking in
