A Writing Meme

You, my friend should be writing.

I’m sorry. I couldn’t resist the urge to jump on the bandwagon, create a meme, and publish it on my blog.

Not sure if this is true or not since I read about this minuscule detail in some article. Making GIFs or memes is actually illegal. That’s because using copyrighted material without permission is prohibited by the law. Lifting copyrighted material from the original source is also against the law. But apparently using copyrighted material is okay if you’re creating a parody of it or imitating someone or something.

Besides, don’t they always say imitation is the highest form of flattery?

What’s the moral of the day? Stop reading my blog. Stop posting on your blog. Stop commenting. Start writing.

One Does Not Simply—Writing Meme

One does not simply talk more about writing than actually writing.

I think the biggest mistake some writers make is they talk and think about writing much more than they sit down and write.

That’s just my opinion. You might disagree.

Happy Halloween! Happy NaNoWriMo!

First things first…Happy Halloween.

Happy HalloweenIf you are indeed trick-or-treating, stay safe. If you plan to chow down on some candy, remember to keep your consumption in moderation.

On the other hand, if you’re frantically getting your notes together for NaNoWriMo, do not heed my advice above. Don’t play it safe, don’t hold back, rather take a risk, take a chance. Don’t restrain yourself at all. Unleash your locked up muse on the page besides, it’s been dying to come out.

Finally, I’ll do my best to blog consistently during this hectic month ahead. I have some ideas brewing so I hope you stick around for that.

Good luck NaNo participants. Get your coffee, candy, and whatever else you need ready. The clock is ticking.

NaNoWriMo is coming.
