I made memories,
and I’m not sorry.
If given the chance,
I’d do it again.
But I will cherish
those few seconds
because I found my faith
in the most unexpected place.
Authenticity reader. Book reviewer. Content writer.
I made memories,
and I’m not sorry.
If given the chance,
I’d do it again.
But I will cherish
those few seconds
because I found my faith
in the most unexpected place.
Regardless of what I do, I can’t beat procrastination. So maybe you shouldn’t listen to me. Now or ever. If you used to, stop. If you never did, don’t start.
Happy National Poetry Day! Here’s a hastily composed poem I wrote on the bus.
***
A foreign language sounds familiar again
An old friend summons a strange mystery
Passed time really can’t be retrieved
Even though new memories begin to squeeze in
***
Don’t let me down. Or yourself. Go compose, compose, compose.
I should have mentioned that the theme is light.
What? You know I’m horrible with following themes or rules in general.
The forsaken
The forgotten
The memories left abandoned
To the liars
To the haters
Who didn’t know from the start
Feeling useless
Feeling worthless
We start questioning our lives
To the cheaters
To the quitters
Who didn’t know from the start
A missing piece
A wasted thought
A broken dream
Albeit today is somewhat of a special and busy day for me, I won’t neglect my fellow readers.
A special thanks to everyone who has stopped by, read what I had to say, liked my posts, followed my blog, you get the point. Thank you to all my followers and friends for making this blogging endeavor such an enjoyable one. The WordPress community is truly one of a kind and the best.
I will strive to continue this blog and I invite you to join me along the ride. Unless of course you already are on this bumpy ride. In that case, hold on tight.
Cheers to the great memories so far, the hearty laughs and unforgettable cries, and whatever else is in store for us down the road.
Struggle but don’t give up. Cry but don’t break down. Work hard and good luck!
Love you all,
Herminia
Apologies for the short, terse post.
