When You Feel Like You Aren’t Good Enough

You are. You’re enough.

Pick yourself up and brush off the dust. This journey is your own. But that doesn’t mean you’re alone. Someone cares. You might not think anyone does, but there is a person out there.

You always want to do more. But you only have 24 hours in the day. You can’t accomplish everything in one night. After all, no one is an overnight success.

Sometimes you feel lost. Then again, you’re finding your way just like everyone else.

No matter how long you’ve been doing something, you’re still learning all the time.

You don’t want to settle, so it’s difficult to feel satisfied. Make sure you celebrate small wins because they lead to bigger victories.

The world isn’t fair. Life isn’t fair. All the more reason to be kind to yourself.

You’ve set the bar so high. So you keep reaching and falling short. One day, you will reach the stars. You’ll be higher than you’ve ever been before.

In an age where everything seems to happen instantaneously, it can be hard to be patient. You might want to quit. You’ll wonder if your destination is worth it. Trust your instincts.

Focus on the process, not the product. Concentrate on the things you can control. Don’t worry about what you can’t.

Look ahead. Move on. Imagine a better future.

Live a life you will not regret. Sometimes you only have one chance.

When you fail, remember you’re one step closer to success. None of your mistakes are in vain if you learn from them.

Drown out the noise, the negativity. Surround yourself around positive people.

Support others because beneath our differences, we’re all the same in the end.

You are good enough.

School

Some Reminders About School

You go to school to learn, not to prove that you’re some perfect, infallible human being.

So it’s okay to make mistakes, to fail. That’s when you learn the most or should anyway.

Stop focusing on your grades, your GPA. Start focusing on getting a good education.

Learning doesn’t stop after graduation. It shouldn’t stop ever. Keep your eyes and ears open. There’s always something you don’t know.

Figure things out on your own. Don’t give up right away when the going gets though. You have to solve some problems by yourself without anyone else helping you. Still, don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it.

Do great work.

Don’t cheat. You’re only cheating yourself. Not just in the traditional sense either.

Be your best.

Staying Positive And Looking At The Bright Side

Life isn’t perfect. And sometimes things don’t work out perfectly.

But I’m going to be positive. I want to look at the bright side instead of focusing on all the things that went wrong today.

The world isn’t ideal. And sometimes we experience moments that aren’t the way we envisioned. But it’s okay. We find a way. Human beings do their best.

When I feel rushed, I make myself slow down. I try to take in life as much as I can. Stop and smell the roses so to speak. I like roses. Red is a pretty colour.

Besides, better late than never. But never late is better. Still, sometimes people need time to get where they need to go. And as long as we eventually get there, how long we take is less significant.

I know I’ll continue to make mistakes left, right, and center. Here’s hoping I learn from them and not repeat the same mistake again.

I’ve been reminding myself that life works out. Someday. Somehow. Someway. It does. Eventually.

Even though events don’t always pan out the way we intended, at least we tried. We did our best.

We’re humans. So we are going to be humans.

Making Mistakes And Moving On

To err is human, to forgive divine.

We all make mistakes. I made one that sticks out like a sore thumb. Fitting because my thumb made the error.

I’m trying to make peace with it and move on. Because life’s too short to get hung up over insignificant mistakes that don’t matter in the grand scheme of things.

I’m not perfect. I’ll never claim to be. But I do my best.

When I make a mistake, even if I’m only the one aware of it, I’m more motivated to work harder in order to compensate for my error.

I’m so hard on myself. I beat my mind up for messing up.

But I realize in a few months or days, a lot of mistakes won’t matter to me anymore. I’ll make many more in the days to follow. I’ll have other concerns and worries.

I’m old, so old. 20 years to be exact. I am still learning to move on.

Humans make mistakes. We tend to have good intentions, but the result isn’t always what we intended. That’s okay. Live and learn, right?

I will go to my grave believing everything in life happens for a reason. If it was meant to be, it will be. If it wasn’t meant to happen, it won’t.

Things work out. Sometimes even better than we could’ve expected.

For many reasons, I try to publish a blog post every day, which obviously increases my odds of making more mistakes. But I know if I don’t challenge myself, I won’t change. And I’m all for challenges. Even though changes aren’t always easy, I rather change for the better than never change at all.

Thank you to everyone who forgave me for my mistakes. Now to forgive myself.

Forgiving thy self. What do I know about that? I’m more forgiving of others for small human errors. But I can’t help but hold myself to near impossible standards.

I wonder how often people even notice my mistakes. Maybe I shouldn’t worry as much.

Mess up but learn and move on.

Don’t Let The Bad Days Win

Don't let the bad days win. Easier said than done.

They happen. Grind through them.

It's okay to take an easier day when you aren't feeling well. The world won't end.

There's always going to be work, something to do. But the most important things in life aren't going to be around forever.

Life is dirty, messy.

Nothing worth doing is ever easy. If it was, everyone would be successful at everything.

Even the happiest people in the world have bad days.

The hard times make the great moments even better.

Life is unfair. Accept that and move on.

You're not alone. Someone, somewhere feels the same way you do right now.

Keep going and continue doing your thing.

Try not to take everything personally. It's not always about you.

Some days you do nothing wrong and still lose. Losing is part of living.

You can spend years getting working hard, yet lose all you worked for in a second.

From time to time, bad days stretch into bad weeks. It gets better.

You never know what tomorrow may bring, so make the best of what you have today at this very moment.

You aren't perfect. You don't have to be. Human beings are human. People make mistakes.

Don't stress too much about what's already happened. You can't change the past or go back in time. But you can change your future by focusing on the present.

Be a kind human being, even and especially when you don't feel your best.

I wrote this post during a bad day. I needed to remind myself of certain things, cliché and all.

Thanks for sticking around and reading my ramblings. I appreciate it more than you know. I'll leave you with one last thought.

Take the good and bad in life because there isn't one without the other.

Forgiving And Forgetting

I don’t know why I find forgiving so hard. But I do.

And even though I can forgive, I know I won’t forget anytime soon.

I forgot how tough it is to hold a grudge. To be mad. To feel angry.

It’s even tougher to not forgive or forget.

But maybe I can forgive because I care. About myself. About the other person. About our relationship. And maybe one day I’ll be able to forget because I’ve stopped caring. About what happened. About one mistake. About people’s opinions.
