Life Paradox

I am a writer (and student), but I’m not a fan of coffee.

I’ve never been to Starbucks. Or had anything from there.

Maybe that will change sooner or later. Ahem, university.

Then again, I’ve always liked cold drinks. I’d burn my tongue if I got anything hot.

I once had hot chocolate from Tim Horton’s. Afterwards, I didn’t have any taste buds for a few days.

  1. Really! I thought I was the only writer who disliked coffee. Even with lots of sugar, chocolate, and everything else in it, I still can’t stand it. Hot chocolate, on the other hand, it pretty good. So is hot tea. πŸ™‚

  2. I’ve always been a tea drinker and didn’t actually go to the dark side (coffee) until I started my career. One cup of joe makes me literally shake, so I try not to have too much. It’s hard to break that habit sometimes though when you’ve stayed up incredibly late to write and still have to be functional at work the next day. πŸ™‚

  3. I love coffee! I don’t like tea (can’t stand the smell or taste) and I don’t like hot chocolate.
I’m the opposite of you when it comes to hot and cold drinks… I have a hard time drinking cold drinks. Even during the summer I don’t normally put ice or refrigerate my drinks. I will on occasion, but I prefer it to be lukewarm.

    1. Mm I’m not a tea person either. Maybe I just haven’t found the right blend of coffee that pleases me completely.
Hot drinks during hot summers? I can’t handle so much heat. Regardless of our individual preferences, we should go get drinks together one day. πŸ˜›

  4. I liked coffee for awhile, but only with a lot of milk/cream and definitely not to a level of dependency (my brain didn’t really respond to it that much). But recently, it’s made me super anxious and jittery so I’ve cut it out entirely. If you don’t already like coffee, don’t bother trying to get into it. The less caffeine the better, honestly.

    1. I never want it to get to a level of dependency. Oh, that’s awful. Yeah, I think I’m going to be just fine without all the added caffeine in my system. Luckily, water does wonders for me.

  5. I dislike coffee, too! And people think it’s weird because I kind of write or read all the time. My favourite drinks on Starbucks are signature hot chocolate, green tea latte, and passion tea, all non-coffee. You should give them a try when you go! Nice to meet you πŸ™‚
